The Epilepsy Research Institute is delighted to be launching our inaugural Emerging Leaders Symposium this May at The Francis Crick Institute. The event is free to attend and primarily aimed at early career researchers and their supervisors, but if you’re a researcher and interested in attending, please do still get in touch at the address below.

We have an exciting programme lined up, with established and early career researchers sharing their experiences and useful advice for those beginning a career in research. Topics covered will include grant writing, patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) and insights on research in the lab and in the clinic. There will be opportunities to network throughout the day.
We will also have a Networking Lunch, generously sponsored by the ILAE Young Epilepsy Section British Branch.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The symposium will also provide an opportunity to present your own research. We are inviting 300-word abstracts from early career researchers for both oral and poster presentations. You may wish to present research results, however we also encourage submissions for research that is at an earlier stage. This will be an excellent opportunity to share your work and to build collaborations. To submit, send your abstract to [email protected]
