Rosemarie Pardington (CEO)

Rosemarie joined the Epilepsy Research Institute as Chief Executive in January 2024 and has previously held executive roles at Leonard Cheshire Disability and most recently at Young Epilepsy. As Director of Health & Research and Deputy CEO, Rosemarie was closely involved in the plans to establish the Institute with Young Epilepsy as a Founding Partner.

Rosemarie’s career in the Health and Research arena began in the NHS before moving onto the charity sector. During this time, she has continuously improved service delivery, transformed and grown operations to ensure success and sustainability. This has been achieved through solid leadership, developing positive team cultures and building strong internal and external networks.  
 
Rosemarie said, “Having worked at Young Epilepsy for the last seven years, I truly appreciate the positive impact epilepsy research makes to the lives of people with epilepsy. I feel extremely honoured to have been offered this position to enable me to continue to advance this important work”.   
 
The Epilepsy Research Institute’s Chair Professor Matthew Walker stated, “We are delighted and thrilled to welcome Rosemarie as our new Chief Executive. Rosemarie brings a wealth of experience, and we look forward to having her lead the team as we grow the epilepsy research ecosystem to achieve the Institute’s mission.”
