Tony Marson is a consultant neurologist and epileptologist at The Walton Centre in Aintree, Professor of Neurology and Dean of the Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology at The University of Liverpool. Tony is also an NIHR Senior Investigator, Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Deputy Director of the Liverpool Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Centre and previous board member and Secretary General of the European Academy of Neurology.
His research has focussed upon the assessment of treatments and interventions for epilepsy. He has coordinated two of the largest randomised controlled trials in epilepsy, including the SANAD and SANAD II trials. He also led the National Audit of Seizure management in Hospitals (NASH).
