Dr Nicolas Marichal Negrin is a Research Associate at King’s College London. His research focuses on the reprograming of reactive glia (a support cell) into a specific type of inhibitory neurons, so-called fast-spiking interneurons, to restore inhibition in a mouse model of Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. The main goal is to advance glia-to-neuron conversion as an experimental approach for seizure control.
