Dr Richard Rosch
Combining a variety of computational methods to understand the link between dysfunction at the level of individual neurons and whole-brain abnormal dynamics of the sort seen in patients with epileptic seizures.
Dr Richard Rosch is a Clinical Lecturer in Clinical Neurophysiology at King’s College London with expertise spanning neuroscience, paediatric epilepsy, and clinical neurophysiology. At the heart of Dr Rosch’s work is a fascination with patterns of brain waves in epilepsy and the complex brain networks that give rise to these phenomena. Dr Rosch leads an interdisciplinary research group, whose work ranges from imaging whole-brain activity in zebrafish with epileptic seizures, to applying artificial intelligence tools to brain recordings in patients undergoing epilepsy surgery. His current research explores how we can use computational modelling to translate between insights from preclinical models and patient recordings.
