Building AI algorithms to improve the diagnosis of structural lesions in focal epilepsy
Dr Sophie Adler is a senior research fellow at University College London. Dr Adler co-leads with Dr Konrad Wagstyl, the Imaging, Machine Learning and Genetics in Neurodevelopment (IMAGINE) lab, which builds imaging and genetics tools to better understand, diagnose and treat neurodevelopmental disorders, in particular epilepsy. Dr Adler and Dr Wagstyl co-lead the Multi-centre Epilepsy Lesion Detection (MELD) project, building AI algorithms to improve the diagnosis of structural lesions in focal epilepsy. Existing tools developed for the detection of focal cortical dysplasia are being evaluated by over 100 centres internationally.
