Tawfik Al-Hadhrami is a Senior Lecturer in Intelligent Systems and Cyber Security at Nottingham Trent University (UK) and leads the Industrial Control & Smart Systems Lab. He leads £15M projects, serves as PI and Co-PI, and leads the UK’s Cyber Range projects, managing funding applications and research. Dr Al-Hadhrami co-founded FIGURE Forum, a collaborative platform for industry and academic experts in cybersecurity and innovative systems that promotes open discussion and collaboration. He is an Associate/Assistant Editor for several reputable journals, including IEEE Access, PLOS ONE, Hindawi RF and Microwave Computer, PeerJ Computer Science, Frontiers in Communications and Networks (IoT and Sensor Networks), and the International Journal of Cyber Forensics and Advanced Threat Investigations. His research focuses on the security of industrial control systems (ICS), operational technology (OT), cyber-physical systems, IoT/ Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare and behaviour Applications, Internet of Things (IoT) Applications, Machine Learning, Smart Cities, Network Infrastructures & Emerging Technologies, Computational Intelligence, and 5G/6G Wireless Communications with an emphasis on protecting critical infrastructure. Dr. Al-Hadhrami has published over 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He has established collaborations with various international institutions worldwide. He is a member of the Cyber Security Research Group (CSRG) at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). He is a member of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), an organisation of the United Kingdom Government that provides advice and support to the public and private sectors on how to avoid computer security threats. He is involved in projects with industries such as Ofgem, Catapult, and Sustainable Healthcare.
