Brain imaging to identify causes and consequences of epilepsies, and to optimize and individualize treatment
Prof John Duncan is a principal clinical research fellow at UCL and chairs the Institute’s Scientific Advisory Committee. Prof Duncan’s research interests include using neuro imaging to visualise the structure and function of the brain and how abnormalities may give rise to epilepsy, and give rise to new therapies His research techniques have been translated to have direct clinical relevance to direct specific treatment for individual patients, particularly neurosurgical treatment.
