Professor Torsten Baldeweg is a translational neuroscientist with an interest in the plasticity of the developing brain to neurological insults. He uses a combination of methods, such as neuroimaging (functional and structural MRI) and electrophysiology, to map changes in brain function and structure.
Torsten works on improving non-invasive diagnostic neuroimaging for children with epilepsy who are candidates for neurosurgery and conducts longitudinal studies in patients who underwent such treatment, with the aim of improving outcomes.
