Applications are now open for North West Coast NIHR ARC PhD studentships, including an exciting opportunity to contribute to an epilepsy project exploring whether periodic completion of outcome measures by patients and families via a patient portal could improve access to outpatient epilepsy care, address existing inequalities and help manage long waits.
This project would suit someone interested in qualitative and mixed-methods research.
The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary supervisory team, with extensive academic and clinical training opportunities through the University of Liverpool and The Walton Centre.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a potentially transformative epilepsy care project with potential for wider NHS impact.
Applicants must apply through the competition and select this project (it has project reference 032).
Application deadline: 13 October 2026, 1.00pm
Project start: No later than 1 February 2027
