The N-CODE Innovation Challenge is now open, offering funding for researchers and businesses developing ideas that could transform how neurological care is delivered.
The challenge is looking for concepts with a focus on the NHS shifts from hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention.
There are two funding routes:
Up to £12,000 for industry-led projects — 3–5 awards available for UK-registered businesses.
Up to £30,000 for academic-led projects — 3 awards available for applicants eligible for UKRI funding.
Projects will run for eight weeks, and you don’t need to have a finished solution. The challenge is about exploring promising ideas, testing new approaches and bringing different expertise together.
Applications close at 5pm on 18 November 2026.
