Firemen Mark & Josh take on the Three Peaks Challenge

Huge thank you to Mark and Josh who took on The National Three Peaks Challenge in 28 hours, dressed in their full fire kit! The pair raised over £2,700 for Epilepsy Research UK, The Fire Fighters charity and Prostate Cancer UK.

The experience was very challenging at times, but also extremely rewarding with fantastic views and great teamwork. We chose to fundraise for three charities, one of which being Epilepsy Research UK, as I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 16. I’ve gone on to break down a lot of stereotypical views regarding epilepsy and I’m now the first serving firefighter to have the condition. It’s my goal to be an inspiration to others and my children.
