We both decided to take on this challenge in memory of our sister, Nicola who passed away on Boxing Day 2021 at the age of 44. Nicola lived with epilepsy from the age of 3, but she never made any excuses because of the condition. She excelled at school, university and at her profession as a pharmacist. Many people who knew Nicola were completely unaware that she had been suffering. A beautiful person inside and out. After a tough beginning to the year after Nicola’s death, the running allowed both Kieran and I to stay fit in both mind and body. I had already signed up to the Cardiff Half Marathon, so made the suggestion to Kieran of 3 half marathons in 3 months!!
A huge thank you to Mike and Kieran who have raised over £4,000 for Epilepsy Research UK and The Noah’s Ark Charity – another cause close to the brother’s hearts. You can still support their fantastic efforts here.
