Tracey, Lee, Alex & Vicky

Friends, Tracey and Vicky, took on the Bournemouth Supernova 5K alongside Tracey’s partner Lee and son Alex to raise funds for Epilepsy Research UK – a cause close to both families’ hearts.

I wanted to support the charity as we’ve all been impacted by epilepsy through our daughter’s diagnosis. We’ve seen how it can affect lives and are keen to support the vital research the charity does. We loved taking part in the Bournemouth run as a family, with our good friend Vicky too and our daughter supported us with the fundraising, she was very proud of what we were doing. It was good fun and a great sense of achievement for us all.

I was eager to support Epilepsy research as it affects so many, my 8-year-old niece Emily had her first seizure at 4 days old. She has other health conditions and needs which impact my brother’s family and their day to day lives. I loved running the Bournemouth Supernova as there was such a wonderful atmosphere and it felt great knowing that we’d raised so much money for this wonderful charity!
