Prize-winning Professor to Chair Inaugural Research Summit

We are delighted to announce that Professor Viktor Jirsa has agreed to chair the Epilepsy Research Institute’s inaugural Research Summit on 16 July 2026.

The Summit, being held at the Royal College of Physicians in London, will focus on one key question: “So what?”, moving the conversation beyond discoveries in research and into real-world impact. As well as chairing the summit, Professor Jirsa will be giving a keynote speech on the development of Virtual Brain Twin technologies.

Attendees can expect an exciting lineup of guest speakers from across the epilepsy field, with a programme of talks and panel discussions exploring key priorities and the latest developments in epilepsy research. There will also be a talk by Adam Clatwothy, who combines his lived experience as a parent of children with a rare form of epilepsy with a professional ability to translate complex scientific topics into actionable, high-impact narratives.

The preliminary agenda can be viewed here. Timings are subject to change.

Tickets are available now at £95 full price and £65 for Early Career Researchers.
