We work with partners across academia, the NHS, industry, funders and patient organisations, bringing together expertise, resources and lived experience to accelerate progress and improve outcomes for people affected by epilepsy.
To ensure our efforts are focused where they matter most, we prioritise partnerships that align with the research priorities identified by the epilepsy community, which form the foundation for our 2025-2030 Strategic Goals.
As a UK leader in epilepsy research, we provide a unique platform to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into life changing real-world applications. By partnering with us, you will gain access to a global network of epilepsy researchers and clinical experts who are dedicated to driving the next generation of medical breakthroughs. We can also connect partners with our Shape Network, the UK’s largest network of research-interested people affected by epilepsy, who play an active role shaping, designing and delivering impactful research. In addition, we are experts at convening diverse communities across science, policy and practice to radically improve the lives of those affected by epilepsy. If you’d like to explore any of these opportunities of how we can work together, please get in touch.

We’ve worked with many academics and clinicians to accelerate progress in epilepsy research. By including us as a co-applicant or collaborator, you can strengthen your proposal and access tailored expertise throughout your project. We can support you through:

We partner with universities and academic institutions to deliver high-quality epilepsy research, strengthen research capacity and support the development of researchers. We are open to exploring new opportunities and welcome discussion around:

We partner with national and international charities to drive strategic investment into epilepsy and its associated conditions, and to raise awareness of their impact.
Charities can partner with us in a number of ways:

We work with partners from pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries to radically advance the development of new treatments and technologies for epilepsy and its associated conditions.
As the central hub for the epilepsy research community, we connect industry partners with leading researchers, clinicians and people with lived experience to support high quality, patient-focused innovation that is for the benefit of people with epilepsy.
All partnerships are developed in line with our commitment to transparency, independence and integrity.
Here are some examples of how we currently work with partners:
We are currently partnering on several exciting epilepsy research initiatives.
Partnership with the Epilepsy Research Institute has been transformative for our research programme. The Institute has fostered critical engagement with clinicians, ensuring that the technologies we are developing have direct clinical utility. Moreover, their unique ability to engage with people with a lived experience of epilepsy has ensured that the ways in which our technologies interface with patients has been designed by those same patients, meaning they are fit for purpose. The Institute now forms one of the rocks upon which not only our research, but a huge amount of epilepsy research across the UK is founded.
