This week we welcomed supporters to our office for the unveiling of our Founders Wall mural, recognising their pivotal role in the formation of the Epilepsy Research Institute. As well as thanking those who attended for their contribution to our work, the event was also an opportunity to discuss the progress we have made since the establishment of the Institute in October 2023.
The Founders Wall was officially unveiled by our Chair of Trustees, Professor Matthew Walker, who highlighted the determining role played by our founding funders in the development and launch of the Institute. Our Chief Executive, Rosemarie Pardington, was also pleased to share some of our latest news, such as the innovative and crucial projects funded in our biggest-ever grant round, and our ambitious plans for the coming years.
Rosemarie said, “The support from our Founding founders has been vital to the culmination of our achievements to date. The official unveiling this week was another small way to acknowledge just how much their contribution is appreciated and the positive impact this has made. The groundbreaking research we have been able to fund is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters and we look forward to working together to achieve our shared vision of a ‘life free of epilepsy’.”
