Epilepsy Research Institute wins Aisling Burnand Award for best film celebrating charity collaboration

The Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) announced earlier this year the Aisling Burnand Award in honour of their previous CEO, who passed away last year. Aisling left money to AMRC and, as members were always her priority, the team wanted to honour her by using this in a way they know she would approve of – to share with members.

The award focuses on a different priority area for AMRC. This year, following their Festival of Partnerships, AMRC members were asked for submissions of short videos, existing or new, in a competition to find the one that best celebrates charity collaborations.

The Epilepsy Research Institute is delighted to announce we are the inaugural winners of the AMRC’s Aisling Burnand Award. It is an honour to be given this award in Aisling’s name, who stood firmly for the values of collaboration and partnership.

The Institute’s Chief Executive Maxine Smeaton said:
“We are honoured to receive this award. Aisling was a huge inspiration and I hope, in a small way, this film pays homage to her unremitting quest to promote collaboration and partnership working. Thank you to all at the AMRC for the fantastic work they do.”
