As part of our #Onein100 campaign, we’re calling on everyone to help raise the profile of epilepsy research in Parliament. By using our easy-to-complete letter template and local MP finder, it takes less than 2 minutes to make your voice heard.
Why should I write to my MP?
A newly elected cohort of MPs offers an exciting opportunity to recruit a network of Parliamentarians to champion epilepsy research. By becoming advocates, these MPs can:
- Raise awareness of epilepsy in Parliament.
- Stand up for improved treatment options for people affected by epilepsy.
- Secure the necessary support and funding for life-changing research.
- Deliver better healthcare policies to improve the lives of those affected by epilepsy.
With your help, we can ensure epilepsy becomes a priority on the national agenda.
What difference will my letter make?
Your letter could have a huge impact. MPs are more likely to take action when they hear directly from their constituents—people whose lives are touched by epilepsy.
The more letters we send, the stronger our message. Through the #Onein100 campaign, 211 letters have been written, reaching 134 individual MPs. In addition to MP’s signing up as Campaign Champions, we’ve also had three parliamentary questions tabled – the first questions on epilepsy research since 2022.
Together, we can build a powerful network of MP advocates and drive meaningful change for the One in 100 living with epilepsy.
